Fact: On the Contrary a bird house makes a great roosting house in winter. Eastern Bluebirds will pile into houses to spend cold nights.

~Homes for the birdies~

This is the first bird house that I made for the birds.  I call it Stars & Stripes, has a 1 1/2" dia. opening and easy access on the side for cleaning. This house was painted with acrylic paint and two coats of outdoor gloss sealer. The bird house has ventilation holes on both sides and drainage holes on the bottom.  cost is $40.00

Here is the third bird house I made. It is in the "Autism" theme, has a 1 1/2" dia. opening and easy access on the side for cleaning. This house is covered with puzzle pieces painted by me. The paint I used is acrylic and two coats of outdoor gloss sealer.  This house like the others has ventilation holes on both sides and drainage holes on the bottom.  cost is $40.00
Here is the fourth bird house I made. It is a smaller size in the "Autism 2" theme, has a 1 1/8" dia. opening. This house is also covered in puzzle pieces that I painted. The paint I used is acrylic and two coats of outdoor gloss sealer.  cost is $28.00
Here is the fifth bird house I made. It also is a smaller size. I painted it in baby colors Light Blue, Dark Pink and off White. The paint I used is acrylic and two coats of outdoor gloss sealer. The opening is 1 1/8" dia.  cost is $28.00
The sixth bird house that I made and painted, it also is a smaller size. I titled this one "Stars & Stripes #2". The paint I used is acrylic and two coats of outdoor gloss sealer. The opening is 1 1/8" dia.  cost is $28.00

The seventh bird house that I made and painted is also the smaller size in the "Autism 3" theme, has a 1 1/8" dia. opening. This house is also covered in the puzzle pieces that I painted and the base color is yellow. The paint I used is acrylic and two coats of outdoor gloss sealer. cost is $28.00
This bird house is # 8, is in the small size with a 1 1/8" dia opening. The theme for this one is "Breast Cancer Awareness", done in Pink and White. Like the other bird houses the paint I use is acrylic and two coats of outdoor gloss sealer. cost is $28.00
Here is the 9th bird house that I made, this one is a "Gingerbread house" theme bird house. For sure a house that a birdie would love to live in.  This house has an easy access door for cleaning.  Makes a pretty accent in the home or outside for your birdie friends, has a 1 1/2" dia. opening...All my bird houses have 2 coats of outdoor gloss sealer.  cost is $48.00
10th bird house completed, this is the small style with a 1 1/8" dia. opening. Decorated with stars, the roof I used recycled wood found on the beach. I used acrylic paint and applied 2 coats of exterior gloss sealer.  cost is $28.00
